My name is Nyambura Kamau,a fashion designer from Nairobi,Kenya.My project is one of making bags using quality canvas fabric and incorporating a smiley face embroidery at the front part using beads. After coming up with ideal dimensions,I created a pattern,cut out & sewed beautiful bags of different colors; black,brown,chocolate brown & jungle green. I later on did the embroidery using different colors of beads as well.Personally,I believe that the world thrives on love & that is why I chose the smiley face. A simple look at the embroidery and you feel such joy and gladness,making you smile & radiate positivity which in the long run promotes mental wellness.The bags look super glamorous when styled casually and can even be carried when shopping.It is strong & very functional.
