My name is Opemipo Ikuemonisan and I am currently the creative director of Melira, a sustainable fashion brand that is driven towards creating fun pieces and wearable art. This dress was made with adire and velvet fabrics, a blend of both old and modern concepts in a way that is suitable for both formal and casual settings. We believe that our outfits can and should make us feel things in a way that art does, and that is our motivation. We also work a lot with shapes, colors and optical illusions, experimenting with clothes and seeing just how much beauty we can create.
